Hello there!

Here's a quick little post to say hello and a bit about what I’m hoping this blog will be about. I’m aiming to post here fairly frequently with my thoughts on topics which surround children’s and YA lit, illustration, getting a master’s degree and trying to make it as an up and coming author. That means sometimes the posts will be more personal like updates on what I’m learning or feeling, but they may also end up being like mini essays on a topic which has been interesting (or frustrating) me.

My plan is that my blog and newsletter will work in tandem, with me posting more update-y short blurbs there and more long-form thoughts here on this blog. I hope that the posts will be thought provoking as well as entertaining. I’m happy to hear your thoughts and opinions, or even to start a conversation with you about your interests and how they relate to mine!
